What you get

Everything we deliver.

  • 01

    Pre-construction load study

We document existing service, panel capacity, and circuit allocation before we cut a single wire — so the upgrade scope is a real number, not a guess.

  • 02

    Service & panel upgrades

200A, 400A, and 800A residential and light-commercial panel replacements with utility coordination, permits, and inspection sign-off.

  • 03

    Code-compliant rough & finish

Branch circuit rough-in, device installation, and fixture work to current CEC and Title 24 standards. We carry the inspections so the building opens on schedule.

  • 04

    EV charger & solar interconnect

Level 2 and DC fast-charger installs, sub-panels for EV branch loads, and PV interconnect with the same crew that handles your main service.

  • 05

    As-built documentation

Updated single-line diagram and circuit schedule at closeout, so the next time something changes you're not guessing what's behind the drywall.

How we run it

Scope to sign-off.

  1. 01

    Walk the building

On-site assessment of the existing service, panels, and load. Photos of every panel, a load calc on every circuit.

  2. 02

    Scope & permit

Itemized scope, a real number, and the permit package filed with the AHJ — Los Angeles County, City of LA, or your local building department.

  3. 03

    Self-perform the work

DECOMA's in-house electricians do the install — no subbed-out trade. One PM, one schedule, one phone number.

  4. 04

    Inspect & hand off

Final inspection signed, as-builts delivered, walk-through with your facility team. We answer the phone for warranty work.

FAQ

Common questions.

Are your electricians licensed and bonded?
Yes. DECOMA Industries holds CSLB Class A (General Engineering) and Class B (General Building) license #375508, with our electrical work performed by California C-10 licensed electricians on our team. We carry $2M general liability and workers' comp on every job.
Can you handle commercial electrical projects in the South Bay?
We've been doing commercial electrical work across Harbor City, Torrance, Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, El Segundo, Palos Verdes, San Pedro, and the wider LA County since 1978 — multifamily, retail, office, light industrial, and adaptive reuse.
How long does a service or panel upgrade take?
A residential 200A upgrade is typically 1–2 days on-site after the permit clears, which usually takes 1–3 weeks with the utility. Commercial 800A and 1200A service replacements run 1–3 weeks on-site depending on switchgear lead times.
Do you coordinate with LADWP or Southern California Edison?
Yes — we handle the utility interconnect paperwork, schedule the disconnect/reconnect, and coordinate the meter set as part of the scope. You won't be on the phone with the utility.
Can you install EV chargers and solar at the same time?
Yes, and you should. Doing them together lets us right-size the service and sub-panel once instead of twice. We've installed Level 2 and DC fast-chargers on parking decks, fleet yards, and single-family homes from Palos Verdes to Inner City Arts in LA.
What about emergency electrical service?
We prioritize repeat clients' emergency calls — power outage, tripped main, smoking panel. Call (310) 418-0258 and we'll get a licensed electrician on-site same-day during business hours.
