What you get

Everything we deliver.

  • 01

    Roof condition inspection

Walk the roof, check decking, underlayment, flashings, valleys, and penetrations. Honest scope: what needs replacement, what's a repair, and what can wait.

  • 02

    Asphalt shingle re-roof

Architectural and designer asphalt shingles from GAF, CertainTeed, Owens Corning. The standard for most South Bay homes — 30–50 year warranties.

  • 03

    Tile, slate & concrete tile

Clay tile, concrete tile, slate. Common on Spanish revivals in Palos Verdes, San Pedro, and the older parts of Manhattan Beach. We re-lay, replace broken tiles, or re-roof full systems.

  • 04

    Standing-seam metal roofs

Standing-seam metal, increasingly popular on modern coastal homes. Manufacturer-warrantied 40–50 years, salt-air rated.

  • 05

    Skylights, vents, & flashings

Velux skylight install, attic ventilation upgrades, plumbing vent flashing replacement, chimney flashings. The detail work that decides whether the roof actually keeps water out.

How we run it

Scope to sign-off.

  1. 01

    Roof inspection & quote

Walk the roof, inspect the attic from underneath for daylight or staining, photo-document the work. Itemized quote with material spec and a real warranty term.

  2. 02

    Permit & schedule

Permit pulled with your AHJ. Schedule around weather — California's dry season is the right window. We never tear off a roof we can't make watertight by the end of the day.

  3. 03

    Tear-off & install

Existing roof removed, decking inspected and replaced where rotted, new underlayment and roofing installed per manufacturer spec. Daily cleanup; we don't leave nails in your yard.

  4. 04

    Final inspection & warranty

City inspection signed, manufacturer warranty registered in your name. We walk the roof with you (or solo if you'd rather not climb a ladder) and answer any questions.

FAQ

Common questions.

How long does a residential re-roof take?
Most South Bay single-family homes: 3–5 days for asphalt shingle, 5–10 days for tile, 7–14 days for slate or metal. Weather extends the timeline only when the underlayment can't stay exposed.
Do I need a permit to replace my roof?
Yes — every California city requires a permit for a full re-roof, and most require a city inspection mid-tear-off. We pull the permit and schedule the inspector as part of the scope.
My tile roof has broken tiles — do I need a full re-roof?
Usually not. Most tile failures are individual tile breaks, slipped tiles, or flashing failures — all repairable. Underlayment under tile typically lasts 25–40 years; once that fails, full re-roof becomes necessary. We check before recommending the bigger job.
Can I solar-ready my roof during the re-roof?
Yes, and you should. Adding the structural underlayment and racking mounts during a re-roof costs a fraction of doing it later. We coordinate with your solar installer (or install the PV through our electrical division) so nothing voids the manufacturer's roof warranty.
What about emergency leak repair?
Active leak during the rainy season — call (310) 418-0258. We send a crew to tarp the affected area same-day for repeat clients, then schedule the full repair when weather clears. We don't try to do a permanent fix in a downpour.
How much does a re-roof cost in the South Bay?
Asphalt shingle on a 2,500 sq ft home: typically $15K–25K. Tile re-lay (existing tiles, new underlayment): $20K–35K. New tile or slate: $30K–60K+. Standing-seam metal: $40K–80K. Real number depends on roof complexity (pitch, valleys, dormers) — we'll quote your specific roof, not the average.
