The Toy Warehouse Lofts was Los Angeles’ first significant adaptive reuse, for-sale loft project.
This three-story, unreinforced brick manufacturing facility was built in 1923 and had stood vacant for over 30 years. In 1998, DECOMA developed this derelict structure into 20 residential lofts with open floor plans, exposed wood columns, and updated plumbing and ductwork. Featuring basement-level parking, it also has a 15,000 SF ground-level commercial facility. This project is considered the catalyst for the transformation of the downtown Los Angeles area.
